My Angus’ is a week-long event running from the 20 to the 26 March 2023, celebrating all the attractions and experiences that Angus has to offer, and encouraging people living in Angus to be ambassadors for their area.

It gives local residents the opportunity to discover some of the many attractions in Angus, including places they might not have been to before, by taking advantage of exclusive events or added-value experiences throughout the week.

Angus has a rich and fascinating history, and there’s always something waiting to be discovered. During My Angus, people living in Angus can enjoy some fantastic events and explore our heritage at a variety of fascinating venues.

Discover our famous ancestors at JM Barrie’s Birthplace, Davidson Cottage and the William Lamb Studio, enjoy visiting magnificent attractions including Glamis Castle and Brechin Cathedral, see some gems in the collections at Angus Archives and explore a host of interesting museums, including Glenesk Folk Museum, Tayside Police Museum, St Vigeans Sculptured Museum, and ANGUSalive sites in Forfar, Arbroath and Montrose.

Get out and explore the great outdoors during My Angus.

Enjoy a walk around the stunning nature reserve at Murton, finding out all about the history of the site or what springtime will bring, get active at Monikie Country Park and try out the paddle sports on offer, follow the trail of Golden Eagles at Glen Doll, or take your furry friends on an adventure with the ‘Dogs Who Hike’ guided trek to the magnificent Corrie Fee.

Foodies living in Angus will be spoilt for choice with the events and offers during My Angus – there’s plenty to whet your appetite!

Enjoy a taste of Angus with a host of special offers available for Angus residents at venues including Peel Farm near Kirriemuir, Angus Grill + Larder near Brechin, Upper Dysart Larder near Montrose, Forbes of Kingennie, Glenisla Hotel, Andreou’s Bistro in Arbroath, Rae’s in Montrose and the Whistle Stop Café in Brechin.

Experience locally produced spirits at some fantastic attractions including Arbikie Distillery Experience, Angus Alchemy and The Bothy Experience. You can also enjoy a unique tasting experience with a special event taking place in Arbroath, featuring award-winning pies from Wee Cook and specially paired gins from Redcastle.

Get out and about and explore what’s on in your local community during My Angus.

Enjoy a walking tour of the community projects taking place in Brechin, see a show at Webster Memorial Theatre with the little ones, visit the therapeutic Forfar Open Garden and find out how you can get involved, explore the village of Friockheim and hear from the community group based there, take advantage of special deals at Black’s of Brechin, meet the friendly animals at Murton, get crafty at Art Attack in Arbroath and browse the supplies on offer at Letham Craft Shop.
