Event Details

Angus Archives serves as the ANGUSalive repository dedicated to preserving the public records of the former Angus burghs (Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Montrose, and Monifieth), Angus County Council, as well as private papers and photographs of various kinds.

Specialising in family history, house history, and local history, Angus Archives providing expert assistance for all research purposes. The archive frequently organises events, both onsite and throughout the County of Angus.

During Doors Open Day, Angus Archives will host a week-long display (3 to 7 September) looking at the Parishes of Angus. On display will be original collections, photographs, and documents highlighting the rural areas of Angus, and how they’ve shaped the county.
