Will Pound and Jenn Butterworth at Montrose Folk Club

In Covid lockdown, two of the finest Instrumentalists in Music, Will Pound and Jenn Butterworth, combined to form a tour de force of breathtaking performances, starting with a video, which was an international Tik Tok internet sensation. Together, in Concert, they will share for the Montrose Playhouse audience an eclectic mix of high energy tunes and uplifting Songs.

Jenn Butterworth is an outstanding guitarist, as well as being a very fine Singer. She has won the Musician of the Year Award at the Scots Trad Music Awards, as well as being nominated for the same title in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Jenn is part of a range of high profile Folk projects, including Symbiosis, with Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton, all female Folk powerhouses, Kinnaris Quintet, and Treacherous Orchestra.

A Musician of extraordinary virtuosity and improvisational skill, Welsh-born Will Pound, is one of the finest Harmonica and Melodeon players of his generation. Will has pushed the technical boundaries and repertoires of these instruments in projects with Musicians, as various as Martin Simpson, Liz Carrol, Dame Evelyn Glennie and Robbie Williams.
