Ride the North 2025 is a single day event with start/end at the magnificent Glamis Castle in Angus. There are two route options of 150 km and 110 km (93/68 miles).
Taking place in the foothills of the Cairngorms, the route of RtN is never flat so you might expect around 1850 m of climbing on the ‘150’ route and around 1250 m of climbing on the ‘110’ route. The route never reaches high altitude, but there are testing climbs that feature on both routes.
We work in partnership with local communities to ensure you are well looked after along the way – meaning check points with refreshments ever 15 kms (or therabouts).
Around 100 km of the 110 km route will be common with the longer route. which makes it possible for riders doing different distances to do most of the ride together.
While there are two ‘marketed’ route choices, the event format means that there are in fact FOUR ways to do it. All are equally valid (you just have to look yourself in the mirror and know you did the correct one for you)!!
