Lizzie No at Montrose Folk Club

9 July 2024, 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

£12.50
Lizzie No

We are delighted to be able to present to audiences in Angus a last-minute Pop-up Summer Gig by Lizzie No, the brilliant New Jersey-raised and now Brooklyn-based Singer Songwriter, harpist and guitarist

Spending the Summer in Europe, Lizzie No is playing a gig for us amongst appearances at the Maverick Festival, the Deer Shed and Gate to Southwell Festivals and the famous Cambridge Folk Festival, as well as playing Support to the New Orleans Band, Darlingside, on their Sold-Out U.K. and Ireland tour.

You could say that Lizzie No makes Americana music; not unlike the artists, to whom she is often compared, such as Rhiannon Giddens and Alison Russell.  However, her collaborations with Brian Dunne and Pom Pom Squad display an undeniable Indie influence.

After a dizzying five-year span, that saw tours with Iron and Wine and the release of two stunning eclectic Albums, Hard Won and Vanity, which drew praise from Rolling Stone and Billboard, Lizzie No has established herself as one of the most exciting new Voices in Indie Folk music. Her 2024 self-written Album, Halfsies, is a further development and immersive experience.

Tickets (£12.50) are available on the door or can be reserved by emailing brucekenneth130@gmail.com
