Broken Chanter at Montrose Folk Club

Broken Chanter is the stage name of talented Glaswegian Singer Songwriter, David MacGregor.  Broken Chanter can be MacGregor on his own or, more often than not, with an array of extremely talented musicians joining him.  For the gig at Montrose Playhouse, David will be playing in duo format with Charlotte Printer from his full band, on backing vocals and multiple instruments.

Broken Chanter are touring throughout 2024 to promote the incendiary third Album of the Band, Chorus of Doubt. Their new release is fuelled by a burning desire to resist an encroaching global tide of misery, informed by a wide-eyed sense of solidarity and the searing truth that a universal humanity is the only path out of darkness.

Chorus of Doubt is populated by hope and vitriol, rendered in ecstatic rock music, terse agit-Funk and soaring choruses. The most immediate Broken Chanter record to date, Chorus of Doubt is David MacGregor’s open love letter to never giving up, a personal road map out of collective lethargy.
