Anne Frank: A History for Today

24 June 2024, 10:00 am - 30 August 2024, 8:00 pm

Anne Frank - A History for Today

Anne Frank: A History for Today tells the history of the Holocaust from the perspective of Anne Frank and her family.

This exhibition covers the rise of the Nazis, the spread of antisemitism, and the events of the Holocaust. Suitable for children aged 9 and up, this exhibition features photographs of the Frank family and the build up to World War Two, placing what happened to Anne in historical context. Anne’s diary was published following the end of World War Two and has become one of the most famous books of the 20th Century.

The Anne Frank Trust empowers 10-15 year olds to challenge all forms of prejudice, inspired by the life and work of Anne Frank. Their work combines Holocaust education, peer education and youth empowerment to create lasting positive changes in young people’s behaviours and attitudes towards others.

Please come and visit the Brothock Gallery at Arbroath Library during the exhibition, no booking required.

Suitable for children aged 9 and up. There are images and themes in this exhibition which some may find disturbing.
