Brechin Castle Centre has a large well maintained natural space with an abundance of wildlife including roe deer, water birds such as ducks, geese, coots and swans.
There is a play area with jumping pillows, swings, draughts, and much more, including a basket swing, tic tac toe and springies. In addition there is a separate area with play tractors, go karts and sand pits. Also at the centre is an aviary displaying Birds of Prey including a Snowy Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Kesterels and a pair of Harris Hawks.
All food is home made on the premises including legendary scones and meringues using local suppliers where possible. Eat in the coffee shop or when weather allows visitors can take their meals outside to the patio tables overlooking the country park. Features include full cooked breakfast from 9am – 11.30am, elevenses, a wide range of home baking, daily specials menu with freshly cooked meals and lighter options, a selection of dishes suitable for vegetarians and children’s lunchboxes. Also available – free wifi access, high chairs, facilities for heating baby food, baby changing facilities and catering for coach parties.
