Create in Nature – Sketching Workshop

Create in Nature is a series of 4 workshops where you will be guided to explore your creativity and connection with nature. The benefits of both nature and being creative are well documented. In this series we combine both.

Held outdoors at our community garden, you will be encouraged to slow down and explore several (or just one) of the many ways we can observe and document what is around us through simple mark making techniques.

Each workshop is suitable for age 18+ and all abilities. We will adapt the workshop to suit levels of ability.

Part 2: Sketching – 10th June 2023
Capturing moments in nature.

Enjoy an afternoon in the garden and reap the benefits of connecting with nature through exploration and creativity. Learn how to follow your own creative muse and explore the garden while trying out creative ways of documenting your finds through sketching, doodling and simple mark making.

What you end up with is a moment in time captured on paper, one that can be kept as a simple visual diary of the lovely time you’ve had, or, as a little library that can spark ideas and inspirations in the future.

Its a gentle, fun and stress-free introduction to the practice of keeping a sketchbook or journal.
