The Angus Glens
The atmospheric glens offer peace, tranquillity and outstanding walking opportunities. From Glen Isla in the west to Glen Esk in the east, each of the Angus Glens is unique and offers different opportunities.
Highlights of Glen Isla include the Backwater Reservoir and the impressive sight of Reekie Linn waterfall, whilst Glen Prosen is known for its connection with Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Doctor Edward Wilson who planned their arctic exploration from a house here.
Glen Clova is perhaps one of the best known glens, for its variety of walking opportunities and abundance of wildlife. Here you’ll also find Loch Brandy, the perfect spot to relax and take in your surroundings.
At the head of Glen Clova is Glen Doll, where ancient roads and footpaths take you into the heart of Scotland’s Cairngorm Mountains.
Glen Lethnot is the smallest of the Angus Glens, and the ideal spot to get away from it all. The longest of the glens, Glen Esk features the Queens Well memorial to Queen Victoria.
We couldn’t possibly pick a favourite, so why not get out there and see for yourself?
