Italian Garden Afternoon Tea
About This Event
Glamis Castle and Gardens has a rich history with many fascinating stories to tell. One of which is that Glamis was the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, known as the Queen Mother.
In 1910, her mother Countess Cecilia, laid out the The Italian Garden and it soon became a favourite space for the family to recreate. Bound by Yew Hedges, our Italian Garden has a raised terrace between two small gazebos as well as pleached alleys of Beech, a stone fountain and ornamental gates which commemorate the HM Queen Elizabeth’s 80th birthday.
Our Afternoon Tea experience within The Italian Gardens will be held on Saturday 16 August from 2pm.
