Davidson Legacy Cottage

Description:

The Davidsons left in 1857, bound for America. William C. Davidson built the famous 10 foot by 15 foot shed for his sons to start the company that has become world famous.

There are several artefacts at the cottage including bricks from the original Juneau Ave building in Milwaukee and a chain link from the plaza at Sturgis.

The Davidson Legacy Cottage is a step back in time to a period of no running water, no inside toilet or fully fitted kitchen.

The cottage was rescued in 2008 and restored by Mike Sinclair, Maggie Sherrit, and Keith Mackintosh who created ‘The Davidson Legacy’.

The cottage has welcomed thousands of visitors from around the world to see the historic home. Visitors are welcomed with options of tea and coffee and are free to view the cottage on their own or request a guided tour and sign the visitors book.
