Wild About The Basin is a range of nature-themed children’s activities at Montrose Basin, depending on the weather and tides.

Discover what sorts of creatures make Montrose Basin their home! This is a children’s event – activities may vary week to week depending on the weather and tides. Activities include pond-dipping, making nature-themed art, and mini beast hunts.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. The activities are aimed at primary school-aged children. Depending on the activity, you may want to come with wellies and waterproofs. One adult per family is required to stay with their child/children.

Meet at the visitor centre at 10.30am. Attendees will be able to use the visitor centre following the event to do some wildlife watching, use the interactive displays, buy refreshments and use our gift shop!
