Singer Songwriter, Gavin McGinty, from Dundee, and member of the cult Dundee band, sometime known as Anderson, McGinty, Webster, Ward and Fisher, and later as Sinderins, is playing a gig at Montrose Playhouse to showcase his new solo Album, entitled ” The World Does Not Revolve Around You.”

Although they last toured in 2019, Sinderins are still fondly remembered by their legions of fans, who sell out within hours the band’s every five years or so Reunion gigs at the Gardyne Theatre in Dundee. For the Gig at Montrose Playhouse, the Gavin McGinty Band will comprise Gavin himself on lead vocals, mandolin, guitar and banjo. multi-instrumentalist and former Sinderins bandmate, Tom Barbour, on guitar, with Vaala Ghandchi on bass.

The World Does Not Revolve Around You is Gavin’s first full-length self-produced solo Album. It features an earthly collage of Alt-Folk/ Rock sounds, with universal lyrical themes of desire, spirituality and the human condition. The Album received a nomination for Scottish Album of the Year 2025.

At Montrose Playhouse, Gavin and the band will play Songs from the Album, some new material, together with items from the AMWWF/Sinderins songbook.
