The Forfar Witches Story: A Guided Walk
About This Event
The Forfar Witch Trials took place between 1661-1663 and involved 42 local people who were imprisoned and tortured on suspicion of witchcraft, 22 women were found guilty of the crime and executed over the three-year period.
Explore Forfar’s dark past and find out more about the story of the Forfar Witches on this guided walk. The walk will begin at the Meffan Museum & Art Gallery and will then cover connected sites on the streets of Forfar before returning to the museum where free refreshments will be provided.
The walk will last 1 hour including time for questions.
Suitable for all abilities, not suitable for under 8 years old.
