About This Event

The Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club will once more hold their 49th Scottish Transport Extravaganza in the magnificent grounds of Glamis Castle over the weekend of 12th & 13th July.

This event is regarded as the premier vintage motoring spectacular in Scotland and is one of the largest of its kind in Britain.

This display will bring together over 1700 vehicles representing a wide array of transport comprising veteran, vintage and classic vehicles and machinery (cars, commercials, military, tractors, steam engines, motor cycles, static engines and exhibits).

A significant part of the display is created by the various car clubs who attend this event. In addition to the vehicles, the event attracts over 150 stands including auto jumble, motor trade, antiques and fundraising stalls.

Filling each day will be the usual variety of parades, pipe bands and amusements for adults and children of all ages.

To cater for the multitude of event goers, a healthy selection of quality food vendors will be available to provide snacks, refreshments and meals.

Come along and enjoy a great day out for all the family at the Scottish Transport Extravaganza.

The event is open from 9am to 5pm both days and parking for visitors is free. Dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a lead.
