Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse present, on Tuesday 8 April, a first appearance in Montrose by the award-winning Singer and Songwriter, Lauren Housley, playing with her band, the Northern Cowboys.

Lauren Housley won the Award for Best Song for “ High Time “ at the 2024 Americana Music Association UK Annual Awards and together with her band, the Northern Cowboys, was also short-listed in the Best Live Act category.

Lauren Housley possesses an innate talent to write beautiful, engaging songs, born from the intuitive craft of earthy storytelling and delivered with an emotive knock out vocal performance at their core.

There has been acclaim from fans, critics and fellow musicians alike for Lauren. Her single, “ Ghost Town “ was playlisted by BBC Radio 2, where fans include Bob Harris. For Music journalist, Paul Sexton, “Lauren Housley brings such pure, spontaneous soulfulness to everything she touches, both on record and on stage.”
