Journey To The Centre Of The Mud
About This Event
See Montrose from a different perspective on a guided walk across the mud!
The Montrose Basin isn’t always full of water – at particularly low tides, you can walk right out into the middle of it! (if safely accompanied by an expert ranger).
There are only a limited number of days a year this walk is possible.
Wear wellies, or good outdoor shoes that you don’t mind getting very muddy, and warm clothes. Minimum age: 12.
Please note this walk is quite strenuous, with variable terrain (the mudflats are sometimes very sticky, sometimes watery, and sometimes like shingle banks).
We will get in touch as soon as we can if adverse weather conditions mean we need to postpone or cancel. Refunds can be arranged if needed.
Meet at the Old Mill Car Park. Unsure how to get to the Old Mill Car Park? The what3words code is ///natural.guideline.hobbit, or you can find it on Google Maps.
