This Halloween, our popular event returns and we promise to tell you the tales of ghouls, ghosts and gory horrors from history.

Some stories will be familiar, others not so, but what will be familiar are the chills and scares you will experience throughout the tour. Along the way, you can expect spine-tingling tales of infamous figures such as Jack the Ripper and Mary Queen of Scots.

Brave souls will embark on a spooky indoor tour through Glamis Castle’s majestic rooms, where ghostly whispers and shadowy figures await. With jump scares around every turn and stories that will send shivers down your spine, Ghouls and Gore at Glamis Castle promises a Halloween experience like no other. If you dare, join us for a night of frightful fun here at Glamis Castle.

Ghosts at Glamis will take place on the evenings of 23rd, 24th, 25th, 29th, 30th and 31st October, 2026. Tours are expected to last 40 minutes and will commence in intervals from 6.30pm – 9pm. On Saturday 24th and 31st October, the last tour will take place at 9.30pm.

Tickets cost £25 per person.

Please be aware that due to the nature of the building, there is no lift and there are many stone steps to negotiate on the tour therefore making it unsuitable to those with mobility needs.

Visitors will experience flashing lights, strobe lighting, loud noises, haze effects, enclosed rooms and up-close live actors.

Recommended for those aged 14 years and over. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by at least one paying adult over 18.
