Finlay Napier at The Montrose Playhouse
About This Event
Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse presents, on Monday, 16 March, a welcome return to Montrose by the award-winning singer songwriter, and stand-up comedian, Findlay Napier.
This gig is on a one-off Monday evening, since Findlay plays the Green Note venue in London on the Wednesday of that week. Winner of the 2025 Award for M G Alba Composer of the Year, Findlay Napier is one of the finest performers on the Scottish and U.K. Music scene. He is as comfortable on the main stage of the Cambridge Folk Festival as part of the folk-rock supergroup, the Magpie Arc, as he is in an intimate acoustic show, or when doing stand-up in a Comedy Club.
In 2025, Findlay Napier was chosen, alongside Richard Thompson and Kate Rusby, to compose an original song for BBC Radio 2’s “21st Century Folk”. He performed his composition, entitled “Firecracker“, live on The Jeremy Vine Show and on Front Row for Radio 4.
Admission is £14.00, payable in cash at the door, or tickets can be purchased beforehand by emailing brucekenneth130@gmail.com.
