About This Event

Join Lutra Grampia & the Scottish Wildlife Trust at Montrose Basin Visitor Centre for a special presentation on the eve of World Otter Day!

May 2026 will mark the 10th year of World Otter Day, convened by the International Otter Survival Fund to raise awareness of the world’s 14 otter species and the conservation efforts being made by so many projects organisations across the globe!

On Tuesday 26 May, the eve of World Otter Day, Lutra Grampia and the team at the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Montrose Basin Reserve & Visitor Centre will be hosting a celebratory event and presentation on Scotland’s otters, their ecology and behaviour and how the reserve plays a part in the conservation of their local habitats.

Open to people of all ages, the presentation will last for around an hour, with time afterwards to ask any questions and have a look around the visitor centre. Refreshments will be available throughout.
