About This Event

The Angus Festival of Makers runs from 1 to 31 May 2026, promoting the work of over 50 artists and makers and providing an opportunity to try and buy fantastic Angus based art.

The festival opens on the weekend of 1 to 4 May with four Art Markets featuring the work of 25 artists and makers exhibiting in local clusters at Monifieth, Forfar, Kirriemuir and Brechin and Montrose – an excellent opportunity for visitors to talk to artists, learn more about their practice and to buy artwork and creative pieces direct.

There will be a fifth Art Market over the weekend of 29 to 31 May with 15 contributors in a variety of disciplines from ceramics and printmaking to stained glass and photography.

Visitors of all ages are invited to the festival. Admission is free and most venues are fully accessible. Come along and be surprised and inspired by all that the beautiful Angus region has to offer.

As well as the Art Markets, five Angus Creatives members will host open studio events during May to let visitors have a behind the scenes look in creative spaces.
