The perfect solution to summer holiday fun – The Wee Angus Adventurers Farm Trail Passport offers the opportunity to explore wonderful rural locations in Angus through a range of bookable activities for children between 3 – 12 years old.

Follow the Wee Angus Adventurers Farm Trail

Follow the farm trail and collect stickers from each location, and on completion of the tour you will receive a special reward to remember your summer of fun, discovery, and adventure.

Your first visit must be during July and August. You have until the end of the calendar year to complete your tour. You must visit each location to receive the reward.

Murton Farm and Nature Reserve, near Forfar

Murton Farm & Nature Reserve

Any spend over £5 will be eligible for a passport sticker at Murton.

This can include spend in our shop area, food in the tearoom, events or farm entry.

Spend can be split in more than one transaction – e.g. purchasing farm tickets in advance of your visit and then purchasing ice lollies during your visit.

Please remember you will be required to show tearoom staff your online confirmation if you have booked in advance. There is no need to print anything – showing the confirmation on your phone is great.

Take your pick from the Wee Angus Adventurers activities available at Newton Farm:

  • Award-Winning Farm Tour – meet the animals and discover what life is really like on a working Scottish farm. Suitable for children aged 3–12, who must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Alpaca Walking Experience – enjoy a gentle walk around the farm with one of Newton Farm’s friendly alpacas. Suitable for children aged 7–12, who must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Muddy Munchkins Summer Pop Up – fun, hands-on farm activities specially designed for younger children aged 1–5.These sessions include admission for one free adult.
  • Muddy Explorers Summer Pop Up– seasonal farm adventures and activities for children aged 3–12. These sessions include admission for one free adult.
  • Family-Friendly Highland Cow Experience – meet Newton Farm’s much-loved Highland cows and learn more about these iconic Scottish animals. Suitable for children aged 3–12, who must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Miniature Donkey Experience – spend time meeting, grooming and learning about Newton Farm’s adorable miniature donkeys. Suitable for children aged 3–12, who must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Advance booking is required for all activities. Just choose “Wee Angus Adventurer” during booking.

Charleton Farm

Take your pick from the Wee Adventurers activities available at Charleton Farm.

  • Animal Adventures: Take a trip to the animal field, meet and feed the animals and learn a little more about our farmyard friends on this guided experience.
  • Charleton Challenge/ Treasure Hunt: Pick up your challenge or hunt sheets, solve the clues and collect your reward.
    The treasure hunt is based in the park and suitable for younger children. Charleton Challenge is best suited for children over 7.

Take your pick from the Wee Adventurers activities available at Upper Dysart.

  • Farm Explorer Summer Series – get hands on with a variety of animals this summer from ducklings to ponies. Little Farm Explorer offers a one-hour session on being a farmer, completing various activities with animal interactions. Our Junior Farm Explorer series has weekly focused themes to complete for older children.
  • Hay & Play – enjoy the play park packed with climbing frames, slides, swings, a trampoline, sensory toys and a sandpit, and complete the farm trail meeting a variety of animals, from Highland cows to miniature donkeys, goats, pigs and so much more, collecting stickers with a reward at the end!
