Discover The Bothy Experience, home of the award-winning Gin Bothy, nestled in the historic village of Glamis – just minutes from Glamis Castle.

Proud recipient of the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2025, The Bothy Experience is free to explore and offers visitors a unique insight into both Scottish heritage and the Gin Bothy story. Step into our Bothy Beginnings Room to learn about our Gin Bothy journey, then wander through the Bothy Tales Room, which celebrates the tradition and culture of Scotland’s bothies.

The Bothy Bar is a cosy spot to take a break and enjoy a drink. Choose from a range of hot and cold refreshments, including cocktails, mocktails, and gin and spirit flights. Sit back in the rustic comfort of The Barn, or head out to the courtyard, a dog-friendly space that’s perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends and family.

Our Larder Shop is a delightful place to browse and discover the full range of Bothy spirits and liqueurs, including Gin Bothy, Rum Bothy, Gunshot Whisky, and the Hipflask collection, as well as our award-winning Jam Bothy products. You’ll also find a hand-picked selection of artwork, books, and branded gifts, from cosy pure wool blankets to scented candles—perfect for treating yourself or taking home a special keepsake.

Step into our cosy tasting rooms, the Byre and the Stable, for a memorable experience where you can enjoy a guided gin tasting, afternoon tea, or a cultural event, or even hire the space for a private gathering with friends and family. Assistance dogs are welcome in our tasting rooms.

We have a second shop, The Bothy Larder, at 6 Lochside Road, Forfar, which is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
