East Haven is a small village located on the east coast of Scotland between Arbroath and Carnoustie, and is one of the oldest recorded fishing communities in Scotland.
Sustrans National Cycle Network 1 runs through the village and up the coast, making it arguably one of the most beautiful sections of the coastal network. East Haven is accessible on foot from either Carnoustie or Arbroath or by bike and by bus.
The pretty little bay at East Haven is popular with families and dog walkers. The bay is sandy and sits within a small natural harbour providing a safe area for children to play amongst the rock pools during low tide.
This is a rural beach with a diverse range of sealife and tidal seaweed. It is a popular area for children and adults to paddle and enjoy picnics on the beach during summer.
