Description
The Stag, Forfar, offers some of the best hospitality in Angus. There is a large selection of draught and bottled beers, house wines, a wide range of gins and over 40 whiskies in the bar, along with a weekend entertainment schedule. The Beer Garden is open from late spring till late summer, weather permitting.
The Stag recently won “Best Beer Quality Award” for Scotland so you can expect the best attention is given to our beer.
The restaurant offers an excellent and regularly updated international menu including traditional Scottish favourites. Burger night is on Tuesday, Steak Night takes place on Thursdays, and the ever popular roasts are available on Sundays. The Stag also do theme nights on Fridays and have a weekly specials board. Bookings are preferred for restaurant meals to avoid disappointment.
Visitors can take part in the popular Quiz Night with free entry on Thursday nights, and enjoy live music on Saturdays.
The Stag can accommodate bus tour bookings by pre-arrangement.
A meeting room is available for corporate & private functions.

The Stag has a lift to the upstairs meeting room, capable of accommodating wheelchair users and can assist persons who find stairs difficult. The conference facility also caters for disabled persons. The ground floor bar and restaurant can accommodate wheelchair access.
The bar is dog friendly, except on Saturday nights after 9pm when the bar can get very busy.
