A loch in the valley of Strathmore, Angus, Rescobie Loch lies to the east of Forfar in a parish of the same name.
It is one and a quarter miles (two km) in length and has a depth of up to sixm (20 feet). Turin Hill rises to the north and Dunnichen Hill to the south.
The Lunan Water flows from the foot of the loch. Rescobie Loch is a noted fishing loch offering native brown trout in spectacular scenery.
