Kinnell is a small hamlet, located near the village of Friockheim which has a shop, pharmacy, pubs, community café, play park and charging facilities for electric vehicles.
There are regular service buses to Arbroath and Forfar. The largest town in Angus – Arbroath (15 minutes by car) has a bus station and railway station on the Dundee-Aberdeen Line. Montrose is also 15 minutes away by car, and Forfar 20 minutes.
