Forter Castle is a self catered Highland retreat dating back to 1560.
The castle was destroyed in 1640 but has been painstakingly and lovingly restored to become an authentic yet comfortable Scottish castle with modern amenities that can accommodate up to 16 people.
We have a small chapel, a large outdoor area including BBQ and Fire Pit, a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room, main dining room, great fireplace and of course a great hall.
Forter Castle offers a unique onsite chapel for intimate weddings, a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room, a large great hall perfect for magnificent dinners and options to add extras such as catering, a bagpiper, Scottish sports experience, guided hikes, bird of prey display, and a host of other opportunities that can be tailored to suit each guests needs.
Forter is set in its own grounds with ample parking space.
When a client rents Forter, the castle becomes theirs exclusively for that time period. Normally, a minimum stay of 3 nights is required.
