Start your day in Brechin exploring Inch Park. This lovely riverside park in the heart of the city offers a woodland walk on the banks of the River South Esk or a gentle stroll through wildflower meadows and green space.
Follow the on street footpath walk downstream to Brechin Bridge which is lined by a series of wonderful mosaics depicting the many stories of Brechin.
Caledonian Railway run steam and diesel hauled trains along the 4 mile branch line between the town of Brechin to the countryside stop of Bridge of Dun, which dates back to 1848.
They also host several themed events throughout the year including Afternoon Tea on board the train and a Day Out with Thomas.

Edzell Castle & Gardens was once home to the Lindsay family and features a stunning walled garden which was added in 1604.
Pay a visit to see the summer house where the Lindsay’s would relax in the evenings, look inside the tower house and see the family’s burial vault.

The Brown and White Caterthuns are a pair of large hill forts on adjacent hills overlooking Strathmore. Both are surrounded by earthworks and it is likely they served as military centres.
