Starting on Victoria Street Forfar, turn right at the Castle Street junction. Go straight on at mini roundabout following A926. Carry on straight on at Market Street mini roundabout on to Brechin Road and bear right on to B9128. Continue for 1 mile/1.6km and at junction for Memus/Cortachy turn left.
Continue following this road for Cortachy. At crossroads junction go straight on. Follow this road towards Cortachy and at T junction turn left then almost immediate right. Carry on to T junction and turn right. Continue for 2.4 miles/3.7 km to Cortachy and bear right signposted Brechin.
Continue on this road for 2.7 miles/4.2km to Memus. At junction left signposted Glenogil turn left. Continue on this road for 2.3 miles/3.6km and at crossroads junction turn left signposted Glenogil and Auchnacree. Follow this circuit route through Glenogil to T junction at Balquharn farm. Turn right and continue on this road to Noranside.
On entering Noranside, turn left. Continue for 1.5 miles/2.2km and approaching junction bear right then turn right again. Continue for ½ mile/700m and over bridge turn left. Continue for 1.7miles/ 2.5km and at junction B957 turn right signposted Tannadice and Kirriemuir. Continue to follow B957 for 5 miles/8km to crossroads junction and turn left to retrace route back to Forfar.
