Set in the heart of the beautiful Angus countryside, the resort’s location is an ideal base for adventuring up an Angus Munro, uncovering countryside towns or heading into Dundee. Broughty Ferry and the city of Dundee are only minutes away, and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen are all within easy reach.

Forbes of Kingennie self-catering lodges and Shepherd Huts are the ultimate in countryside living. Spread out throughout the grounds you’ll find a range of accommodation sleeping from 2-10 guests.

The Forbes of Kingennie holiday lodges and glamping huts have a delightful and peaceful rural setting making it the ideal place in which to base your family holiday, whether it’s for fishing, golfing, other sporting activities or just relaxing.

The Scullery Restaurant and Cairn O’ Mount bar are set in the heart of the resort, leading onto a timber-decked terrace overlooking the fishing ponds and beautiful Angus Countryside. Dining in Kingennie’s popular Waterside Restaurant or Cairn O’Mount bar is a truly delightful experience, with striking views overlooking the resort grounds. Here we serve a range of dishes prepared by our excellent chefs, using not only fresh local produce but home grown produce from our family farm.

Our Inglesmaldie and Buddon Burn Events Suites are versatile rooms that fit the bill for all events, holding up to 180 guests. The neutral and contemporary spaces have large windows that look out onto beautiful landscaped grounds and are ideal for rustic weddings, celebration dinners, corporate away days and everything in between.

The resort is full of adventure for all ages, with first class golf and fishing on-site, as well as an Angus Thistle Maze and Cairngorms 18 hole putting green. With plenty of walking routes on the grounds you can pull on your wellies and head out to discover the nature filled paths.

Our dog friendly lodges offer the perfect Scottish retreat for you and your family dogs. With a range of lodges from our Escape Pods to our Kingennie Courts, your home away from home!

There is a wide selection of walking paths around the resort ranging in sizes to suit all dog types, from the old to the more energetic. We allow well behaved dogs in our Cairn O’ Mount bar and on our outside veranda where you can enjoy a coffee, a little dram or a taste of our local and home grown Scottish produce from our seasonal menus.
