Whether you’re looking for a peaceful self-catering break, a hearty meal, a venue for a big celebration, a quiet round of 9 holes or a days’ fishing, you’ll find it at Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort.
Set in the heart of the beautiful Angus countryside, the resort’s location is an ideal base for adventuring up an Angus Munro, uncovering countryside towns or heading into Dundee. Broughty Ferry and the city of Dundee are only minutes away, and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Aberdeen are all within easy reach.
From family sized lodges with a home away from home feel, to the Leannan Boathouse, a luxury waterside hideaway for two, and Kingennie Court which sleeps up to 10, there’s something for every party size and occasion. The resort is dog-friendly too, with dogs welcome in the Cairn O’Mount bar and 6 of the self-catering lodges. There is plenty for four-legged friends to sniff and uncover, making it the perfect getaway spot for the whole family.
The Waterside Restaurant and Cairn O’Mount bar bring local food and drink to the table, with something for everyone’s appetite. You’ll get a warm Scottish welcome from the log burning stove in the rustic bar or head to the restaurant for a waterside view, where you can watch as fishermen cast on calm pools. With Sky TV, BT Sport and Wi-Fi in the bar you can catch up on what’s happening in the world. For alfresco dining, you can sit out on our covered veranda area and take in the countryside air with the outdoor gas fire to keep the cold at bay. Both the Cairn O’ Mount bar and veranda area are dog friendly.
Our Inglesmaldie and Buddon Burn Events Suites are versatile rooms that fit the bill for all events, holding up to 180 guests. The neutral and contemporary spaces have large windows that look out onto beautiful landscaped grounds and are ideal for rustic weddings, celebration dinners, corporate away days and everything in between.
