Davidson Cottage is the birthplace of William. C. Davidson whose 3 sons founded Harley-Davidson with Bill Harley. The Davidson family emigrated to America in 1857 where William became a carpenter and furniture maker. It is now 100 years since he died but he lived through 20 years of the company.
Drop in during Doors Open Days for a guided tour of the cottage and to hear about how the Davidson family lived before emigrating. Tea and coffee will be available. Any donations will help the registered charity that has set up to save the cottage.
