The Montrose Basin Visitor Centre provides amazing panoramic views over the reserve, where you can spot species such as pink-footed geese, kingfishers, and common seals using our telescopes and binoculars.
Visit during Doors Open Days and learn about the history and biodiversity of this huge intertidal estuary with interactive displays. There is also a coffee shop and wildlife-themed gift shop.
This is also the time of year that the pink-footed geese begin to arrive from Iceland, often in their thousands!
Booking is not required.
Doors Open Days is is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates places and stories, new and old, and is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust.
