Become a Junior Farm Explorer!

Join us for a fun-filled farm adventure where children aged 4 –8 years will meet, feed, groom and learn about a variety of friendly farm animals including alpacas, goats, donkeys, ponies, sheep, chickens, pigs and more!

Each week focuses on different animals and farm skills, helping children discover how animals are cared for, what they eat, how they communicate and why animal welfare is so important. Through hands-on activities, games, crafts and animal encounters, they’ll build confidence, learn new skills and experience life on the farm.

Session 1: Future Farmers! Thursday 9th of July
Become a farmer for the day! Meet one of our real farmers, climb aboard a tractor, discover the jobs that keep the farm running, and learn how food begins its journey from field to fork.

Session 2 – Little Growers Thursday 16th of July
Get your hands dirty and discover how food grows! Explore our fields, learn about planting, and sow your very own vegetable to take home and nurture.

Session 3 – Animal Care Thursday 23rd of July
Step into the boots of an animal keeper! Learn how we feed and care for our farm animals, discover what keeps them healthy and happy, and help make feed bags and get to feed them after the session.

Session 4 – Egg-cellent Explorers Thursday 6th of August
Crack the mystery of eggs! Meet our hens, learn about our eggs, collect your own eggs, learn how chicks hatch, meet some of our chicks and discover the fascinating journey from egg to chick. Then meet our ducks and ducklings.

Session 5 – Pony Patrol Thursday 13th of August
Learn how to groom, brush and care for our friendly ponies, help with simple stable jobs, and discover what it takes to keep them looking and feeling their best. Don’t forget training in mucking our too!
