Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse and Montrose Folk Club are looking forward to another Gig by the dynamic, now Six-piece, Band, Kinnaber Junction, who will present an evening of full-bodied original and contemporary songs.

The last Kinnaber Junction gig at Montrose Playhouse was a very special night, as ” Mr. Kinnaber “, Gary Anderson, celebrated forty years of live gigs and songwriting to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of Montrose Folk Club. As the musical vehicle of Montrose Singer Songwriter, Gary Anderson, a concert by Kinnaber Junction always promises two sets full of different genres and styles, mixing songs written by Gary himself, over his forty year songwriting career, with complementary covers.

Kinnaber Junction are set apart from other bands, on account of there being no fixed line-up; the band have appeared at Montrose Folk Club in many different formats over the years. Once again, the band includes a couple of new faces for this gig. Gary Anderson ( vocals, guitar and mandolin ) will be joined by Nick Jolly ( drums ), Tom Ward ( guitar, piano/keys ), Lynne Anderson ( backing vocals ), and, for the first time, Fraser Urquhart ( bass ) and Rachel Watson ( saxophone ).
