Join us at Rottal Steading for a Spring Workshop afternoon on Sunday 6 April.

We have a choice of workshops for you to enjoy, hosted by three local creatives.

‘Make A Silver Ring Workshop’
Join local jeweller Sheila Roussel as she guides you through the process of making your very own silver ring. In this small group workshop, Sheila will show you how to create texture and pattern on silver, how to anneal silver, shape, solder, file and finish your ring.

This workshop lasts around 3 hours and is suitable for beginners and children over 12 can attend with a participating adult. £60 per person (includes the use of all tools, equipment and silver)

‘Spring Flower Workshop’
Linda from The Flower Pavillion will be on hand to help you create a beautiful Spring flower display for you to bring home and enjoy. You will have a choice of lots of lovely Spring blooms and Linda will show you how to arrange them for maximum effect and give you lots of hints and tips for effortless styling.

This workshop lasts around 2 hours and is suitable for all ages. £47 per person (includes vase for flowers).

‘Lampshade Making Workshop’
Learn how to make a drum lamp shade with artist Astrid Weigel. Using your own fabric, Astrid will help you make a 20 cm diameter shade suitable for a table or ceiling light.

This workshop is suitable for beginners/intermediate level and participants must be 16+ years. The workshop lasts around 1hr 30mins. Please bring along a piece of fabric of your choosing, which must be at least 70 cm wide x 24 cm height ( 28″ x 10″). A medium weight cotton works the best as thicker fabrics can be trickier to work with. Also, if you wish you can bring along embellishments such as pom-pom tape, rick-rack to finish your shade with. £35 per person.

We will also have Maison Dieu Coffee Roasters joining us all afternoon with their coffee van, so you can enjoy a delicious hot drink and cake. Their van will be located outside the steading and open to anyone who would like to pop up to visit them (you don’t have to be booked in to a workshop).
