Description:

This route takes you from Kirriemuir, home of the Camera Obscura and JM Barrie’s Birthplace, past the Loch of Kinnordy and around the Lintrathen Reservoir.

From the Peter Pan statue at Kirriemuir town centre, turn left onto the B956 to The Glens and follow the road for 0.2km/0.1m and then bear right remaining on the B956 for Glen Clova and Glen Prosen. After 0.3km/0.2m, go straight on at the crossroads to Pearsie. 1.1km/0.7m on, at the junction, go straight on to Loch of Kinnordy.

After 0.3km/0.2m, turn left at the junction to Kingoldrum. At the next T junction 2.7km/1.7m on, turn right onto the B951 to Kingoldrum. Continue on the B951 for 7.2km/4.5m and at the crossroads turn left to Alyth. After 2.4km/1.5m, turn right at the T junction to Alyth.

After 1.6km/1m, turn left into Reekie Linn car park just before the bridge of Craigisla. To return to Kirriemuir, follow the road around the loch to Bridgend of Lintrathen, bear left over the bridge and then turn right at the T junction to Kirriemuir. Follow the B951 to retrace the outward route.

Points of interest on this route include the Loch of Kinnordy and Reekie Linn waterfall.
