About This Event

Join us to learn what we can do to help protect our adorable native red squirrels!

Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels (SSRS) works with local communities, landowners, network groups and volunteers to ensure red squirrels will always be a part of Scotland’s special native wildlife. They focus on areas where red squirrels are most under threat from the spread of the invasive grey squirrels. In the presentation by Jenny Payne and David Morton from SSRS, we will learn about this adorable animal and how our efforts can make a difference to the survival of this species, which is being threatened at multiple levels. In many places in Scotland, red squirrels are already making a comeback and you could help make a difference: it is all our responsibility to protect them! The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and refreshments.

This talk will take place at Meffan Gallery, 20 West High Street, Forfar, DD8 1BB. Doors should open at 7pm, for a 7.30pm start. Car parking is available at Myre Car Park (Myre Road, Forfar, DD8 1AZ) and the venue is accessible by public transport. The event is family friendly, but children must be accompanied by an adult. There is disabled access. No dogs allowed except assistance dogs.

Donations (up to £5) are welcome, and help us bring an interesting and varied selection of events to our audience as well as supporting local wildlife causes. Please donate if you can.
