Acoustic Music at Montrose Playhouse present, as the opening event after the summer break of their 2025 season, a concert by master guitarist, singer and songwriter, Jenn Butterworth, who will be playing in duo format, with multi-instrumentalist, Dan Brown.

Jenn Butterworth is Scotland’s leading exponent of folk guitar. In addition to being a member of Kinnaris Quintet and Fiddlers Bid, Jenn also regularly performs in a duo with Bella Hardy, and as a trio with Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton. Her skills as a guitarist may have obscured the fact that Jenn Butterworth is an outstanding singer of material from the whole of the folk spectrum and a talented Songwriter.

For the gig at Montrose Playhouse, Jenn and Dan will play stripped-down versions of the songs from Jenn’s solo album, “Her By Design”, which was released earlier this year to rapturous reviews.
