Fitted with modern facilities in a cosy retro-styled cottage. The rooms are open plan, except the shower room, but the bedroom is semi-private to the living area.
We are 100m off the road, which is very quiet – 1 car an hour isn’t unusual traffic – so it is an ideal spot for some peaceful relaxing.
We are 3 miles from Fettercairn, Aberdeenshire and 3 miles from Edzell, Angus. Brechin & Laurencekirk are a 12 minute drive away, and Montrose, Forfar & Stonehaven are about 20-25 minutes drive. We are exactly halfway between Aberdeen & Dundee.

We consider Thistle Dhu Cottage a home away from home for you and your pups, so dogs are allowed on the furniture if that’s what they’re used to at home – the only rule is that you bring clean covers for any furniture they might use. This is for the consideration of all guests – with or without dogs – and to save a lot of cleaning problems.
We provide some essentials such as bowls, towels, poo bags, and we can provide extras upon request. Your pup will have a small welcome treat of their own upon arrival (don’t worry, so will you!).
