Redwings Mountains

Redwings Mountains horse sanctuary, Forfar

Description

Covid-19 Update: Redwings are currently trialling the phased reopening of Redwings Mountains and are pleased to announce they will be welcoming back visitors on the weekend of Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th October 2020. Please check the website for up to date opening dates and times.

Redwings Mountains opened in March 2016 after merging with Mountains Animal Sanctuary. Set in 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland, the centre provides a place of sanctuary to 90 horses, ponies and donkeys as well as bountiful wildlife including red squirrels and mountain birds.

After a relaxing stroll, you can enjoy a warm cuppa and tasty snacks in the Nosebag Café, while an on-site gift shop offers a wide range of souvenirs, with all proceeds supporting the hundreds of animals in Redwings’ care.

Having met the centre’s lovable residents, you might like to sponsor one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars. Available from just £15 per year, you can adopt for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one.

Redwings Mountains is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday all year round, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Entry and parking are free but donations of all sizes can really support the charity’s work if you would like to make one.
