Redwings is the UK’s largest horse sanctuary, providing a safe and happy home to over 1,500 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules across ten sites – including Redwings Mountains, near Forfar in Angus.
Here animal lovers can get up close and cuddly with its adorable residents and hear their stories – best of all, it’s completely FREE!
Redwings Mountains is the charity’s newest visitor centre, opened in March 2016. Set in 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland, the centre provides a place of sanctuary to 90 horses, ponies and donkeys, as well as bountiful wildlife including red squirrels and mountain birds.
Having met the centre’s lovable residents, you might like to sponsor one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year’s adoption costs just £15!
After a relaxing stroll, you can enjoy a warm cuppa and tasty snacks in the Nosebag Café, while an on-site gift shop offers a wide range of souvenirs, with all proceeds supporting the hundreds of animals in Redwings’ care.
