20apr01junFish Wives - The Heritage and Tradition of Women in the Fishing IndustryMontrose Museum and Art GalleryLocation:MontroseEvent Type:Arts and Culture

Event Details

Using the traditional migration of the herring fleet from Shetland to Yarmouth as a vehicle to explore the role of women in what is wrongly considered by outsiders to be predominantly a male industry.

Craig Easton’s photography captures these proud and tough women with a raucous sense of humour who are an essential, but mostly unseen, part of the fishing industry.
