Featuring male players aged 50 or over, the Senior Open presented by Rolex is one of the most sought after titles in the senior game.
The Senior Open presented by Rolex will take place at Carnoustie Golf Links, one of the world’s finest links courses, for the first time in eight years in 2024.
Europe’s only Senior major championship will visit the Angus venue for the third time when the 38th edition of the Championship takes place from 25-28 July 2024.
Carnoustie was the host venue for the Senior Open when Bernhard Langer won in 2010 and Paul Broadhurst in 2016 as well as eight-times for The Open Championship, including 1999 when Paul Lawrie claimed the Claret Jug, it has also twice been the Women’s British Open venue.
Alex Cejka will be the defending champion having won Senior Open at Royal Porthcawl in 2023.
Carnoustie’s Championship course was voted Best Golf Course in the World in 2019 and will provide a stern examination of the players in this year’s Senior Open, not least from one of the toughest closing stretches of holes anywhere in the world.
