Kaila Art Jewellery

Kaila Art Jewellery designed and created in collaboration between Sheila Roussel – Jewellery Designer and Kate Cunningham – Fine Artist as part of Angus Creatives Festival 2024.

Having originally met whilst at Duncan of Jordanstone several years ago Sheila and Kate remained in contact and wanted to experiment using their individual skills to create work together. Developing ideas with each other and individually they now design and make Kaila Jewellery.

Each piece is completely unique being hand painted onto birchwood ply by Kate using acrylic paints and taking inspiration from the colours and textures of local landscapes, seascapes and sunsets. Once painted, Sheila uses individually hand crafted and textured sterling silver to complement chosen pieces in a unique style.
