‘Feeling Sunny’ Workshop led by Artist Alison Scott

On Saturday 13 May, we are celebrating the opening of Emma Hart BIG TIME, a series of ceramic sundial sculptures exhibited in the gardens here at Hospitalfield.
The day begins at 11am with ‘Feeling sunny’
This workshop, led by artist facilitator Alison Scott, takes as a starting point the basic idea that sundials tell both the time and the weather. How does the weather make you feel?
In this relaxed session we will explore some of the long history of sundials, read, and listen to ‘sunny’ music together. We will work through discussion and small pieces of writing to describe and feel for the ways that local weather affects us.
No experience required. For adults and young adults. Free.

Alison Scott is an artist based in Arbroath and is currently working temporarily as the Volunteer & Engagement Programme Manager here at Hospitalfield. She has devised this workshop in response to Emma’s work and our yearlong theme of Light & Time.
