Hop along to Angus this Easter for some fantastic fun and games to keep you entertained.

We’ve pulled together some of the events taking place together here to help you plan your Easter celebrations.

Dragon Egg Hunt
Brechin Castle Centre
1 to 16 April, 9am to 2.30pm

This Easter the fairy trail at Brechin Castle Centre has been taken over by dragons! Be transported back to medieval times for a dragon-sized egg hunt, with lots of fun and games and the chance to win an amazing prize. Afterwards, head to the games area to compete in a medieval dragon race, try your hand at King Arthur’s skittles & lots more.

3 to 14 April, various times

Kids will be spoilt for choice in Angus this Easter with a range of sports, games, and activities for all – choose from multi-centre holiday camps, individual activity holiday camps and activities on land or water. Free swimming sessions will be available to school age children in Angus.

Easter Bunny Breakfast
Dobbie’s Garden Centre, Monifieth
6 to 10 April, 8.30am to 10am

Hop along to the restaurant for a tasty breakfast for the whole family before the little ones take part in some egg-cellent fun with our Easter bunny – follow the bunny on a hunt around the store and enjoy some fun games. The Easter bunny will also help you plant your very own miniature carrots to take home and grow in the garden.

Easter Weekend at Glamis Castle
Glamis
7 to 10 April, 10am to 4pm

Join an extra special Easter scavenger hunt through the stunning grounds at Glamis Castle and look out for clues to be rewarded with a chocolate egg. Visitors during the weekend can also enjoy a guided tour of the majestic castle, a visit to the playpark and a bite to eat in the castle restaurant.

Easter Weekend at Murton
Murton Farm, Forfar
7 to 10 April, 10am to 4pm

Come along to Murton over Easter weekend and enjoy some great activities. From Friday 7 to Monday 10 April, join the Bunny Feet Hunt and find the big colourful footprints around the nature reserve, and on the Saturday and Sunday there will be additional activities including crafts and games. Throughout the Easter holidays, little ones can come and meet the animals on the farm in the petting pen.

Easter Egg Trail at House of Dun
House of Dun, Montrose
7 to 10 April, 11am to 3.30pm

Follow the Easter Egg Trail around the grounds and gardens of the House of Dun, find the Bunny’s name and claim your prize! Also during Easter weekend, the North East Rangers will be hosting drop-in workshops in the courtyard on Saturday, and Sunday will see a foodie market by Appetite for Angus.

Easter Disco
Royal British Legion, Arbroath
8 April, 12 noon to 2pm

Come along and do the Bunny Hop at the kids Easter Disco – it’s sure to be an egg-cellent afternoon with some cracking tunes for all ages. There will be a free Easter egg for every child plus a very special visitor.

Dino Explorer Easter Weekend
Pathhead Equestrian Centre, Kirriemuir
8 & 9 April, 10am to 5pm

Follow the clues to track down the escaped dinosaurs and learn some fun facts along the way! Complete your clue sheet to claim a prize at the end of your adventure. Tickets also include entry to base camp where explorers can enjoy bouncy castle fun, dino digs, the dino petting zoo and fun games.

Easter Egg Trail at Barry Mill
Barry Mill, Carnoustie
8 & 9 April, 11am to 3.30pm

Follow the Easter Egg Trail around Barry Mill and up towards the Millpond and answer the clues to claim your prize! Also on Saturday will be a celebration of local produce with a food and drink market by Appetite for Angus.

Easter Eggspress at The Caledonian Railway
Caledonian Railway, Brechin
8 & 9 April, 11am to 4.15pm

All aboard the Easter Eggspress at Caledonian Railway – enjoy a ride on this special steam train from Brechin to Bridge of Dun and get an Easter treat on your journey. Make a day of it by using the free Basin Rambler Bus Service which operates between Bridge of Dun station, House of Dun, Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, Montrose High Street and Montrose Railway Station.

Little Seedlings Easter Holiday Club
Dobbie’s Garden Centre, Monifieth
12 April, 10.30am to 11.30am

Come along to this special Little Seedlings holiday club where your little ones can learn all about egg-cellent Easter traditions, what Easter is all about, how Easter is celebrated in other countries and much more!
