The ‘Ardent’ angling charter boat operates from Arbroath and provides a variety of trips lasting from three to eight hours. Popular sights along the Seaton cliffs include the Mariners Grave, Needle’s Eye, Devils Head and Maidens Leap.
When fishing the target species include cod, mackerel, coley and saith. Rods and reels are supplied if required.
The Ardent has a spacious deck area where you can relax and enjoy beautiful views of the great variety of sea life and wildlife including puffins, cormorants, shags and various seagulls. If you are lucky you may get a glimpse of the dolphins as well.
The Ardent also specialises in trips to the world famous Bell Rock Lighthouse which is situated 10 miles offshore and is one of the wonders of the modern world. At low tide you can see the Inchcape reef and observe the seal population which lives there. Bring along a picnic and have a great day.
